Costa Palawan Resort

The staff here had a great attitude and always smiled. The location is on the coast but not a beach you would swim at. It's a tidal flat area. We got a very discounted rate on Agoda but I would have been disappointed to pay full price to stay here. You need to get transport to go shopping or eat out. Also the only dining place is by the coast and sometimes it gets very windy. They should offer an alternative indoors. And don't use the ATM onsite as it takes a 10% commission.

Well, when we were looking for a place on the beach, this resort kept popping up. When I did some research, it seemed it was a good fit for us. When we arrived, there were 6 desk personnel checking in the customers. Once we checked in (it was relatively smooth), my girlfriend and her cousin decided to take a nap. So, I took my girlfriends son to their restaurant. With about 8 waitstaff and 3 customers, the service, at first was good. However it took almost 40 minutes to get our food, then another 45 minutes after we were done to get our check. I kept trying to get their attention, but after 10 or 15 minutes, I decided to see how long it would take. As far as a beach resort, the closest beach that is usable to swim at is 40 minutes away. The water recedes about 30 meters from shore most of the day and leaves the beach unusable. So, in most hotels, there are little snack stores where u can get water, snacks, ect. Not there. U have to go into town to get a snack or water. In the morning, no coffee in the reception area. U have to walk to their restaurant to get it, which is a distance. If you need towels after hours, the front desk does not have them. Only the maids can hand them out so catch them in the morning. Overall, the hotel is nice esthetically. Lots of staff, 2 pools, and an on-site restaurant. However, it is just an average hotel. Keep that in mind when reserving...

Lesson learned: never give on opinion after the first night! The hotel had a party for a few hundred people right outside. You book a hotel to sleep right? Well, this is is not the case here! Loud ( and I mean loud!) Music went on until well after midnight. I will be asking for a refund, this is outrageous!!! In addition, they have communication issues - not listening or comprehending guest requests. As a result, I ended with a massage I did not order yet had to pay for it. Shame!!!

The bed and bed liner not very clean. You can see some dirt and It is same with the towel not smell fresh. Internet connection on wifi and mobile phone was very poor in the room that i stay. Not recommended if you are business travellers to stay in this hotel. For vacation, yes it is a good choice of hotel. Many activities you can do here. Come with group of friends or family it is good. Having a breakfast with a nice view of sunrise and the beach.
